Dr. Alexander Lorz was close to failing 6th grade. From failing in Math and English, to a doctorate in Cambridge and a professorship in Paris.
Dr. Alexander Lorz is a renowned expert in Artificial Intelligence. For more than 10 years, he has been working on developing and analysing mathematical models. The goal of his work is to better understand and interpret data and to help others find treasures in their DATA.
The University of Cambridge awarded Dr. Lorz his doctorate in Applied Mathematics in 2011.
He has published his work in renowned journals such as Nature Communications, Nature Scientific Reports, Proceedings of the Royal Society, etc. He has given presentations on almost every continent. These include, for example, several talks for the Association of German Engineers (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure).
To give back to the region he grew up in, he is now organizing the Erlangen Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Meetup for almost 500 members, with speakers from e.g. Google, Microsoft, Siemens and more coming to present on topics in Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Lorz has made it his life’s mission to get as many people as possible excited about the topic of data & Artificial Intelligence and to help them find hidden treasures in data.
He spends his free time with his long-time partner. As a couple, they enjoy exploring nature and going on adventures together.
